1962 Greeves 250cc MCS

I bought this Motocross Special at 2009 Mid Ohio Vintage Days. The bike has a Villiers 34a Engine which runs great. Items needed for the cosmetic restoration were bought from Frank Conley who operates in California. Every part was either painted, polished or plated. The bike has the original Dunlop wheels which look like they are new. Obviously the chrome in those days was of a better quality. The rarity of this bike made the restoration very enjoyable. I had the fellow who paints my street bikes paint the gas tank. The Greeves actually won 2nd place in a bike show in September 2009 much to the dismay of some of the “bikers” in attendance.
